Crowns, CEREC® Technology

multisurface restorations

Teeth occasionally crack, break or decay in such a way that is too extensive to repair with a traditional dental filling. When this occurs, our experienced dentists at Advanced Dental Care can place a dental crown on your tooth to strengthen it and to restore its appearance.

Simply put, crowns and caps are fitted coverings for weakened or missing tooth structure. Contrary to popular belief, there is no difference between crowns and caps. They can be made of metal, porcelain fused to metal, ceramics or zirconia.

With the advent of computer 3D designing capabilities and in-office crown milling machines (CEREC), the way crowns are made has evolved.

Digital cameras have replaced the impression material and molding trays. This allows for a more convenient and comfortable experience while taking digital impressions. Temporary crowns are no longer needed in most cases. From start to finish, it takes less than 90 minutes to fabricate and place a single crown. We have a variety of materials to choose from based on your cosmetic and functional needs. Matching the shade of the crown to your other teeth is even more accurate. A treatment that would usually take 2 or 3 sessions is now completed in a single visit.

With more than 1000 successful cases Advanced dental care is one of the frontiers of digital same-day crown dentistry in this area.
