Dentures and Partial Dentures

Gum disease, health conditions, injury, and extensive tooth caries may result in teeth loss or extraction. We are experienced in fitting and crafting partial or full dentures to restore your smile and chewing function. As the name implies, partial dentures or removable bridges, are sets of one or more false teeth that fit into the remaining, natural or implant and crowned teeth. The false teeth are attached to a gum-colored base and are sometimes connected with metal clasps. Full dentures, on the other hand, are called for when all of a patient’s teeth have been extracted.  Regardless of whether you need a full or partial set of dentures, proper fitting is essential to provide both comfort and a pleasing appearance. After we determine you are a good candidate for dentures, our experienced staff will have a set custom-made for you and work to ensure your new dentures fit correctly.

We’ll also advise you on how best to adjust to your new teeth, how to clean your dentures, and the importance of taking care of your gums and any remaining natural teeth you have. As you age, we’ll periodically adjust your dentures to ensure that they maintain the best possible fit so that your new teeth are as good as they can be. Dentures not only replace missing teeth but also restore the lost facial height due to bone resorption.

Dental implants nowadays are part of the denture treatment plan. Especially when there is not enough retention or bone height to hold the denture in place, a minimum of 2 implants are required.
